Let's make your own pesto

Look what happened to my basil plant!
It's growing really fast.

Basil is an aromatic herb belonging to the mint family, is perhaps best known as the key ingredient in pesto, the Italian sauce. Basil is originally from India, did you know that?

Let's make our own pesto!

You need:
basil, 2 cloves of garlic, two tablespoons pine nuts, 50 grams of Parmesan cheese and a bit olive oil.

This is how we do it:
Mix all ingredients except the olive oil together, for example in the blender, and add more olive oil in small amounts until the pesto is the desired thickness.

Than you need a can hat can be closed tightly and pour some olive oil so that everything is covered. Now you keep the pesto well at least a month.
